For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God to salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For in this is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.  For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness, and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness.  Because that which may be known of God, is manifest in them; for God hath shown it to them.  For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:  Because that when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful, but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.  Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools:  And changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and four-footed beasts, and creeping animals.  Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves:  Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshiped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.  For this cause God gave them up to vile affections. For even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:  And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one towards another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet.  And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;  Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,  Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventers of evil things, disobedient to parents,  Without understanding, covenant-breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:  Who, knowing the judgment of God, that they who commit such things are worthy of death; not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them. Romans 1:16-32     For 'bondage' And they made their lives bitter with hard BONDAGE, in mortar, and in brick, and in all manner of service in the field: all their service in which they made them serve, was with rigor.And it came to pass in process of time, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the BONDAGE, and they cried; and their cry ascended to God, by reason of the BONDAGE. And I have also heard the groaning of the children of Israel, whom the Egyptians keep in BONDAGE: and I have remembered my covenant. Wherefore say to the children of Israel, I am the LORD, and I will bring you from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will deliver you from their BONDAGE, and I will redeem you with out-stretched arm, and with great judgments: And Moses spoke so to the children of Israel: but they hearkened not to Moses, by reason of anguish of spirit, and cruel BONDAGE. And Moses said to the people, Remember this day, in which ye came out from Egypt, out of the house of BONDAGE; for by strength of hand, the LORD brought you out from this place: there shall no leavened bread be eaten. Then thy heart shall be lifted up, and thou shalt forget the LORD thy God (who brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of BONDAGE;) And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he hath spoken to turn you away from the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you from the house of BONDAGE, to thrust thee out of the way which the LORD thy God commanded thee to walk in. So shalt thou remove the evil from the midst of thee.And thou shalt stone him with stones that he shall die; because he hath sought to thrust thee away from the LORD thy God, who brought thee out of the land of Egypt from the house of BONDAGE. And the Egyptians ill-treated us, and afflicted us, and laid upon us hard BONDAGE:For the LORD our God, he it is that brought us, and our fathers, out of the land of Egypt, from the house of BONDAGE, and who did those great signs in our sight, and preserved us in all the way in which we went, and among all the people through whom we passed:That the LORD sent a prophet to the children of Israel, who said to them, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, I brought you up from Egypt, and brought you forth from the house of BONDAGE; And now for a little space grace hath been shown from the LORD our God, to leave us a remnant to escape, and to give us a nail in his holy place, that our God may lighten our eyes, and give us a little reviving in our BONDAGE. Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to BONDAGE, which is Agar.For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in BONDAGE with her children. Stand fast therefore in the liberty with which Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke ofBONDAGE.
